Check out the Latest BF6 Season 1 Tier List (Full Buffs & Nerfs + Updated Spreadsheet) for the newest rankings and meta loadouts.
Week 2 Meta Shift Overview
The Battlefield 6 Week 2 meta has flipped the balance board. Early testing shows LMGs and SMGs now dominate both close and mid-range, leaving assault rifles fighting for relevance.
Thanks to in-depth testing from u/Mastahamma on Reddit, we have verified data on TTK, accuracy, and recoil across every full-auto weapon in the game.
Tier List Overview
| Tier | Weapon | Class | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| S-Tier | DRS IAR, RPKM, M250 | LMG | Lowest TTK + range dominance |
| A-Tier | TR7, B36A4 | AR | Powerful but mag-limited |
| B-Tier | SCW-10, SGX, KV9 | SMG | Great close-range control |
| C-Tier | SG 553R, M277 | Carbine | Outclassed by SMGs and LMGs |
| D-Tier | Early-game ARs | Misc | High TTK / poor handling |
LMGs — The New Meta Monsters
LMGs are running the show right now. They offer the best lethality and accuracy combo in the entire game.
- DRS IAR – Unmatched control, massive magazine, insane damage. For the full breakdown of the best attachments, check out our complete guide here: Best DRS-IAR LMG Build (Based on Extensive Testing + Spreadsheet).
- RPKM – Nearly identical to the DRS but more mobile for rushers. For the full attachment setup and test data, see our detailed RPKM Best Loadout Guide.
- M250 – The long-range beam — highest damage per shot at distance.

It’s a game-changer for hitting headshots across open maps and perfectly complements LMG or DMR playstyles.
Pro Tip: Run the RPKM with a hybrid optic to cover every range — you’ll out-gun AR users in mid and long-range engagements.
If you’d rather focus on sniper progression, the BF6 Sniper Farm (Week 2 Unpatched) is still active and works perfectly alongside our Fastest Way to Unlock the PSR guide.
Carbines — Once Meta, Now Forgotten
Carbines have fallen off as players unlock more specialized weapons.
- SG 553R – Strongest of the class but still loses to SMGs in TTK.
- M277 – Maintains a 4-shot kill to 75 m but terrible handling.

Editor’s Pick: If you’re looking for a more balanced alternative to the M277, the M4A1 loadout
remains one of the most well-rounded rifles in the game — combining carbine-like mobility with AR-tier precision.Unless you’re completing attachments or challenges, these are no longer competitive in the current patch.
Assault Rifles — Reliable but Outpaced
Assault rifles are still consistent, but they can’t match the raw output of this week’s top SMGs and LMGs.
- TR7 – Lowest TTK in class, small magazine holds it back.
- B36A4 – Stable and lethal for mid-range control. Check out our guide to the Best B-36A4 Assault Rifle Build
- SOR-556 MK2 / L85A3 – Precision-focused but lose power past 40 meters.

SMGs — Close-Range Dominance Returns
SMGs are shining once again thanks to superb mobility and TTK consistency.
- SCW-10 – Fastest TTK in game at point blank range.
- KV9 – Excellent recoil stability for spray control.
- PW7A2 – The “long-range SMG,” perfect hybrid between AR and SMG.
- SGX – Most balanced SMG overall — the perfect all-rounder. Here is our guide on best attachments for the SGX.
Patch Update Note: The SCW-10 and SGX are performing slightly above intended balance values and may see nerfs soon.
